YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Anna Claire Knight will return to Young Harris College as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Senior Women's Administrator. As her main responsibilities, Knight will oversee compliance, business operations, and academics for the athletic department.

"Bringing Anna Claire back into our Mountain Lion family is a home run for Young Harris Athletics," said Athletic Director Aaron Bessey. "Anna Claire is dedicated, positive, and passionate about the futures of our student-athletes, and that is exactly what we are looking for in our department. She will do a great job leading our internal operations and helping us take YHC Athletics to unprecedented heights!"

"I am so excited to be returning to YHC in a familiar role and look forward to working alongside new Director of Athletics, Aaron Bessey," said Knight. "The entire athletics staff, along with the campus staff, make Young Harris College one of the best places to be. I can't wait to once again work with the incredible Mountain Lion student athletes. The future of YHC Athletics is very bright!"

Most recently, Knight worked at the University of North Georgia as the Associate Registrar. In her role, she handled Athletic Academic Eligibility and managed the entire UNG Academic Catalog. Knight interacted with prospective students at orientations and gave presentations on the responsibilities of the registrar's office.

Throughout her career, Anna Claire Knight has bounced back-and-forth between Young Harris College and the University of North Georgia. She started at Young Harris as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach from 2017-2019. After that, Knight departed YHC to be an Academic Advisor at North Georgia. Anna Claire worked at North Georgia from 2019 -2021 where she assisted students in decision making regarding academics, their future career, and personal aspirations.

Knight returned to Young Harris in May 2021 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Anna Clarie worked hard with coaches to help uphold NCAA eligibility standards and practices. Her dedication earned her a promotion to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

Knight's continued excellence combined with her experiences from North Georgia make for a bright future for Young Harris Athletics.
