Michael Ohana

Hailing from Nakuru, Kenya, and raised in the United States, Michael brings a diverse background and a strong skill set to the Mountain Lions.

Michael's collegiate soccer career began at Piedmont College (2015-2017), where he was recognized as a USA South All-Academic Team member. He furthered his career at Emmanuel College (2017-2019), where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Management. At Viterbo University, he was a graduate transfer who helped the team achieve a conference title and a program-best national ranking of 24th. As a team captain in the 2020-2021 season, Michael was named to the NAIA All-Academic Team and awarded the NAIA Champion of Character.

Michael also played semi-professionally with LSA Athletico Lanier in the National Premier Soccer League, contributing to the team's historic Southeastern Divisional Semi-Final appearance. His professional experience includes stints with Nairobi City Stars and Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya’s Premier League. Additionally, Michael coached the Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School men’s soccer team to its first State Championship during the 2018-2019 season.

Michael’s extensive playing and coaching background, combined with his leadership skills, will play a key role in enhancing the Young Harris women’s soccer program.
