YOUNG HARRIS, GA. | Conference Carolinas has released its 2023 men's soccer all-conference honors as chosen by the league's head coaches. The Young Harris College men's soccer team had six players named to the Conference Carolinas all-conference first, second, and third teams. Thomas Kleinpenning of Young Harris collected Freshman of the Year in addition to earning all-conference first team. The Mountain Lions finished the 2023 slate with a 9-3-6 overall record and 8-0-4 conference record.

All-Conference First Team: 

• Jamie Lapsley a forward from Stirling Scotland finished the season with eight goals -including two game-winning goals- and two assist for 18 points.
• Thomas Kleinpenning a mid fielder from Ulft, The Netherlands recorded eight goals with three assists for 19 points. Kleinpenning also earned the Conference Carolians Freshman of the Year Title. 

All-Conference Second Team:

• Pato Padilla a forward from Monterry, Mexico finished the season with seven goals and two assists for 16 total points. Padilla scored one game-winning goal and was 1-1 in PK's.
• Sacha De Corte a defender from Vlezenbeek, Belgium led the back field for the Mountain Lions. 

All-Conference Third-Team:

• Saad Maziane a forward from Casablanca, Morocco finished with five goals -including two game-winning goals- and three assists for 13 total points. 
• Ivar NaAga a defender from Odda, Norway was a strong addition to the back field for YHC and scored one goal with one assist for three points.
