Three Mountain Lions Run at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational

CLEVELAND, Tenn.| Young Harris College had three men compete in the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational this weekend. Liam King ran the 10000m, Noah Mason the 1500, and Matthew Honeycutt competed in the 5000m.

QUOTING HEAD COACH MATT LOGAN
"We had a great day at Lee. All three of our guys ran lifetime bests and we were able to compete against top class competition. With the addition of track and field next year, we look for these three guys to help lead us in the future."

Logan added, "If I look back at who these guys were 12 months ago, we have seen tremendous growth, which should get our entire group excited for what's to come at Young Harris."

ABOUT THE MEET
  • Liam King came into the Lee Invitational having ran the 7th fastest time in the region in the 10,000-meter race. King proved this ranking and set a PR finishing the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:14.836. which was good enough for 23rd place.
  • Noah Mason ran in the 1,500 meter and crossed the line with a time of 4:08.6, which earned him 38th place.
  • The final mountain lion to compete at the Lee Invitational was Matthew Honeycutt, who ran in the 5,000 meters. Honeycutt crossed the line in 16:18.49.

The next meet for Young Harris College is the Tornado Classic on Friday, April 12th in Brevard, North Carolina.
