Young Harris, Ga. | Sixteen regular season matches highlight the Young Harris women's soccer 2024 season, with eight home games at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field this fall as announced today by the Mountain Lions.
The Mountain Lions kick off their 2024 season on September 5
th at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field in Young Harris with a 5:00 p.m. match against Mars Hill University. Young Harris College follows up with another home game against Trevecca Nazarene University, with that game kicking off at 1 p.m.
YHC hits the road following their two-game opening home stand, where they first face off against the University of North Georgia at 4:30 p.m. at the UNG Soccer Field. The next game of their three match road journey features Conference Carolinas opponent King University on September 14
th at 2 p.m. in Bristol, Tennessee. The third of those back-to-back-to-back road games follows on September 18
th with an evening match against Clayton State University at Laker Field in Morrow, Georgia.
The Mountain Lions play Conference Carolinas opponents for the remaining eleven games of the regular season. Finishing September with three Conference Carolinas opponents, starting with Emmanuel University at home on September 21
st at 4 p.m., before taking on Erskine College on September 24
th in the early afternoon at 1 p.m., and then closing the opening month of September with a home bout against Barton College at 2 p.m. at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
Young Harris plays seven matches in October, with four home matches highlighting the pivotal tenth month of the year. The two toughest matches, first coming in the form of the UNC Pembroke Braves (2023 Conference Carolinas women's soccer Tournament Champions) on Saturday October 5
th at 1:00 p.m. at the Lumbee River EMC Stadium in Pembroke, North Carolina. The second rubber match is against North Greenville University (The leader of the Conference Carolinas Southwest division) on Saturday October 26
th at 1:00 p.m. in the Enchanted Valley.
YHC's regular season comes to an end with a 4:00 p.m. match against Shorter University on November 2
nd in Rome, Georgia. The Conference Carolinas Tournament begins on Thursday November 7
th and concludes on the 17
th of November.
Young Harris women's soccer team finished second in the Conference Carolinas Southwest Division behind North Greenville University in 2023, with an overall record of 9-6-4, which featured eight Conference Carolinas victories. This upcoming season, the Mountain Lions look to take sole possession of the Southwest division.
